This Privacy Policy explains how Hunt Finder AI LLC ("Hunt Finder AI," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use huntfinderai.com and our web application (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide: your email address (when you create an account, start a trial, or join an alert/waitlist), and planning inputs you enter — home ZIP code, residency (resident / non-resident), preference points, species and unit preferences, and saved or compared units.
Payment information: when you subscribe, checkout and payment are handled by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. We do not collect or store your full card number. We receive a confirmation of your subscription status and limited billing details (e.g., plan, renewal date, the email used at checkout).
Usage and device data: basic, privacy-respecting analytics such as pages viewed, features used, approximate region, browser type, and error logs, used to operate and improve the Service.
Local storage: we store your preferences and session locally in your browser (localStorage) so the app works offline and remembers your settings. This is not sold or shared.

2. How we use information

To provide, personalize, and improve the Service (e.g., ranking units, showing draw odds and access, building forecasts).
To process your subscription and provide customer support.
To send you reminders and alerts you opt into (e.g., draw deadlines, leftover tags), and essential account/transaction emails.
To protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security threats, and to comply with law.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. How we share information

We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it:

Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and subscription management (Merchant of Record).
Supabase — secure database/account storage.
Netlify and Cloudflare — website hosting and backend/data services.
Resend (or a similar email provider) — sending account and opt-in alert emails.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or in connection with a merger or sale of assets (you will be notified of any such change in control of your data).

4. Cookies & local storage

We use browser local storage for app functionality and minimal cookies/analytics to understand usage. You can clear local storage and block cookies in your browser settings; some features (saved preferences, offline use) may not work as well.

5. Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. California residents (CCPA/CPRA) and residents of the EU/UK (GDPR) have specific rights, including the right to know and the right to deletion. To exercise any right, email support@huntfinderai.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time via the link in those emails.

6. Data retention & security

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it unless we must retain it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new effective date here and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
